A little unfortunate that I am writing this but you know how it goes, right? You’ve probably noticed that there has been little to no online ETM content over the past few months. While I had every intention of keeping up with the site this semester that goal has pretty much evaded me for some time now. Connor is studying abroad in Ireland and Z.Rog is balls deep in his engineering major at Madison. They have been holding down the site with a few others pretty much since I reached out to them. As far as me updating the site daily that hasn’t happened because I have been working as the assistant marketing director of a concert venue (LIKE US ON FACEBOOK AND FOLLOW US ON TWITTER!) that does about 4 shows a week while taking 21 credits at KU. It’s hard out here, man! While we have still done a few runs of ETM jerseys and had some concerts that have been a great success the site is clearly slacking and I am going to do what I should have done a few months back: Put it officially on hiatus.
I’m looking at my schedule for the rest of 2012 and, realistically, I don’t see ETM making it back in a major way until the new year starts. Rest assured I have been plotting on a whole new style of blogging, new concerts, more apparel and brand partnerships for you guys to enjoy next year. Until then, just hang tight. If you live in the Kansas area or have some crazy obsession with road trips and good music then come out for Asher Roth round two on Thursday. For everyone else, see you in 2013.
Ladies and Gentleman, it’s almost about that time! Hoodie Allen at the Granada in Lawrence, KS is going down THIS Saturday. Tickets are going fast so I encourage you to buy them sooner rather than later. In case you haven’t seen the poster on the site or been keeping track of our social media G-Eazy and Empty Throne favorite, Josh Sallee, will be joining Hoodie for this glorious occasion. Shout out to our show partners at Premier Promotions Group! Info on the event can be found below. See you there!
PS: It looks like E The Real Clothing are going to be in the building along with Connor Hays doing photo and video work so make sure you come with some cash to snag some new fall apparel and smile pretty for the camera.

One of the most promising up and comers around decided to release a handful of tracks which precede his critically acclaimed 1999. Titled Rejex the mixtape incorporates 14 tracks from various locations… but I’m going to stop and just let Joey himself explain:
“1999 rejex” is a compilation of tracks that didn’t make it to my debut mixtape “1999″ (obviously). I decided to put this project together because I have a lot of unreleased material that I didn’t want to keep from the ears of my fans and supporters. I also have a couple of tracks on here I did when I was 15 years old (“little rachel”, “indubitable”, and “silent knight”) and I want to show people the progress I’ve made in a couple of years. The remaining songs (“flowers pt. I”, “catharsis”, “panty raid”, “fantum” and “update”) are tracks I dropped prior to the release of ’99 as promo only. I look at “rejex” as my more experimental side compared to ’99. Putting together these two projects even taught me a lil sumchin about my evolution as an artist and individual. Watch me go from “Joey B4 DA $$” to the “Joey BA DA $$”…… If you know what eye mean.. Haha

If you haven’t downloaded 1999 yet (scary, I know, but sometimes people miss things) you can do so right here.
The Good Husbands just released their new song/video “Wild For The Night” on the Interwebz. Per usual, the summertime vibe is strong and the video is of them goofing off on the water (hits close to home for me). Produced by Big Z, this laid back tune is perfect for those of you who still have a week or two left before school starts. Download link is in the description of the video on Youtube.
Let’s play catch up, folks. Below are songs that have been marinading and worth tasting.
Wide Awake for the Finale (TeeT’s Remix)
Beautiful Like Nobody Else
Fix You (Jakob Liedholm Remix)
Taylor’s Coke Problem
Gettin’ Jiggy Wit’ It (Viceroy Remix)
This one popped up in my Twitterfeed from none other than Austin Staubus, aka Mr. Blogstar. He has been working a lot with Clinton Sparks and it’s been awesome to see what the producer has been dreaming up these past months. This new song “Watch You” features Pitbull and has that radio appeal dripping from every line. I would expect to hear it coming out of car speakers with the quickness for the plebians who don’t have auxiliary cords/are forced to suffer through commercials. Check out the single below and be sure to head over to iTunes to purchase it. How many obscure “bootleg” remixes will surface in the coming weeks? Thousands, probably.
Even though it’s been remixed a lot (what popular song doesn’t?), The Knocks’ rendition of Of Monsters and Men’s “Little Talks” is great for this time of year. Push those Knockarounds back up your sweaty nose, take a drink from that beer, and get back to enjoying the lake with this playing in the background.
Just let this one wash over you. Download from her site here.
Aer dropped this about a week ago, but I had finals all last week and then Homeless Week snuck up with the quickness, so that’s why it’s a little delayed. Regardless, better late than never? Plus, the duo dropped their project The Bright Side today on iTunes, so after you watch the vid, head over to iTunes to download it.
Under The Influence has been a huge success this past week, and “Sleep Forever is one of my favorite tracks from the tape. Timeflies dropped the video for their song and it’s one of the cooler videos I’ve seen in a while.
