Although Col. Jack Tueller probably doesn’t appreciate the kind of music that regularly gets posted on this site, his message is resilient and forever unflinching: music is the great equalizer, the substance that is universal to every human on earth. Watch the video below, remember what holiday is right around the corner, and respect the man for all of his accomplishments. Yes, the video is from 2009, yes I saw this on BroBible today, and no, I don’t know the status of his well being today, but the message is completely pertinent, no matter how old it is.
Taylor over at EMG sent me some more dope shit from an artist he is doing PR for so I figured I would let you guys in on the dopeness, no Sneakhype. The dopeness comes in the form of a music video. It’s Bardo with the raps and Antonio Robles on the beats and together they make Allied Forces. Bardo hails from Hyde Park Chicago and I am a huge fan of his “Watch how easy I’m gonna make this sound” style of delivery. The beat is everything I need while I’m studying for finals as well. Peep the video below and just vibe out with me.
I must admit, Mifflin is pretty crazy. New visuals from Nick Luebke and it’s sick. I was waiting to post this until there was an mp3 to attach, but I guess not. Either way, watch and get ready for some lake lovin’.
Due to finals, I haven’t been able to keep up with new music. However, this one came up in the submissions and I had to check it out. IanJ has kind of fell off my radar for a minute, but this song brought him right back to the forefront. It’s a remix to Maroon 5′s smash hit, “Phonephone,” but this one is mixed by Steve Mast of Plain White T’s fame. IanJ’s original EP drops later this summer, so I’m sure you’ll see that one up here when that event happens. This remix to Payphone has a calming effect and is definitely nice to listen to during this crazy stressful week. I have seen IanJ mature a lot within the last year or so, and I’m excited to watch his trajectory. He opened for Timeflies a few times during their Scotchd Up Tour in 2011, and has been growing a huge fan base throughout. Big things for this kid.
Probably my favorite magazine along with Complex. It used to be XXL but they got rid of Elliott Wilson and I can’t really fuck with Vanessa Satten like that. Meh, nothing lasts forever, and now Elliott is the EIC at RESPECT so it all comes full circle. On sale May 29th. Support hip hop print.
As I mentioned before this song is a favorite for me this year. I pretty much love everything about it. While the video seems a little simple to me it’s still very dope. OnCue is definitely an artist to look out for this year. Everything he has dropped has been quality material.
Fresh off the press, Meek releases his highly anticipated second installment of the Dreamchasers series, and in doing so, immediately crashed Datpiff. I’ll probably update this post when the download is made possible and I can get to listening. In the mean time, join us all in trying the download link after the jump until that thing works.

We have yet another release from the Entourage Management Group roster. This time it’s from a 22 year old Virginia native by the name of Baby E. What makes this kid interesting is that he is signed to none other than the legendary Dr. Luke. If you don’t know who Dr. Luke is I want, no I need you to check out his stats on wikipedia here. Honestly I have no idea how someone can produce hits like that. Anyway this song samples “One More Time” by Daft Punk so it’s a perfect song to play at your summer parties coming up. A music video will be dropping later this month but for now check the lyrical video above. Dr. Luke, Benny Blanco and Cirkut on the beat.
