Bramzwig sent this over to me yesterday so we could drop it with him tonight. He has been one of the top artists that you guys have liked here on ETM, so it’s only fitting that we share it with you. As you may know, this kid is a college student at Bentley, which is a business school outside of Boston. I previously said that this kid is going to do great things, and I might be so bold to say that this track might be my favorite track I’ve heard by him thus far.

I want to also point out that I believe he and his crew are doing the whole marketing task exactly right. If you follow this kid on Twitter, or you do the Facebook thing, you will notice that he has a strong connection with his fans. He retweets, he replies, he responds, he comments. Whatever it may be, he does it. This interpersonal relationship he has with his following is 100% paying off and I believe he has the power to eventually get to a Mac Miller following status if he keeps it up.

Like I said before, I think this might be my favorite song by him. The beat is absolutely unreal and I can twiddle my thumbs to it quite easily. I was listening to it as I was walking to my tax class yesterday and I found myself walking in step with it. Incidentally, I almost plowed over a group of internationals because I was so into the song. It’s not just the beat that I like, though. His word play is witty and I find it impressive when he speeds up and then slows it down within the same verse; however, you can still understand him even when he is spitting quickly, which makes it easier to pretend like I actually know the words by heart.

Z.Rog tweeted right after Locked Out dropped…

Bramzwig has more substance in his songs than just a typical “Frat Rapper.” If Z.Rog is saying something like that, you know it’s true because he is more of a hip-hop hot-head than I am. Bramzwig will indeed be famous and a huge success soon; we’re all here happily watching his climb to the top.
