Believe it or not, Minnesota’s outdoor hip-hop festival is just 82 days away, and as we approach May 27th, the good folks at Rhymesayers let us know what we have in store for this year. I’m definitely pumped about this one, and hoping I will be around for it. Notable acts include Lupe, Kendrick Lamar, Big K.R.I.T., Macklemore, Ghostface, Raekwon, Action Bronson, DJ Premier and Danny Brown. And of course the usual Rhymesayers such as Atmosphere, P.O.S and Evidence will be partaking as well. A big stand out this year is that Brother Ali is scheduled only to host and not to perform (but if his act was just going to be similar to last year’s performance, I don’t much mind that).
