Song: Thank You Kindly – Big K.R.I.T.

What. is. up. everybody. I haven’t posted in far too long. Let me kick this welcome back post off by saying this: sometimes in life I think you have experiences that really make you feel like a poor person. Currently, I’m sitting in my car in a Starbucks parking lot stealing the internet. I’m too cheap to go in and buy a drink that I don’t want. Like I said, poor people shit.

This is also the reason I haven’t blogged in forever n a day (Big K.R.I.T. pun intended). For whatever reason, my laptop will not connect to the internet at my apartment in Nola…. which I haven’t mentioned, I’m spending the summer in New Orleans. Booyah. Now this isn’t a facking travel blog, so I’m going to try to make this brief, but here are a few things I’ve noticed about New Orleans since I’ve been here:

1) It storms like everyday here. And not the type of storms we have in the Midwest. It pours. Like to the point where I’ve begun gathering two of every animal (this was the least terrible New Orleans flood joke I could come up with, Daniel Tosh has more or less covered the offensive ones anyways).

2) There are stray animals like a motherfucker. I’ve come to the conclusion that Sarah Mclachlan rescued all these animals and then set them free here.

3) There is a Popeye’s on about every corner. If you don’t understand how awesome that is, just stop reading.

4) Bars in uptown are generally 18+ to get in and “21+ plus to drink.” Open containers in the streets are also allowed everywhere. And you can go to drive through daiquiri shops and order alcoholic frozen drinks by the cup (because apparently frozen alcoholic drinks don’t fall under the usual requirements for open containers while driving).

I came up with like 47 numbers. And those are the four I apparently have limited it down to. Awesome.

Now on to the song. Krit released his album Live From The Underground this week and, as a special thank you to his supporters, released this track. I figured it was fitting I’d post something Southern, and it certainly helps that this ties in with the upcoming Live From The Underground tour that will be stopping at the Granada on July 16th (and he is bringing Casey Veggies with, so go to that shit). You can buy tickets for that here.

Well my episode of Mad Men has finished downloading, so it’s about time I wrap up my internet stealing escapades. Hopefully this weekend I can really hit the blog hard, even throw together a mix or somethin somethin.
