I had originally planned on dropping three mixes and three mixes only like last summer but I had several people ask about a fourth mix and had several left over songs to make another. Those ingredients have led to the fourth installment of the summer 2012 mix on ETM. This mix is ten songs longer than the previous mixes because it is the last of it’s kind. Notice I said “Of it’s kind”. Tune in next week to find out more. For now enjoy the extended volume four of the series. Track list and download link below.

Due to finals, I haven’t been able to keep up with new music. However, this one came up in the submissions and I had to check it out. IanJ has kind of fell off my radar for a minute, but this song brought him right back to the forefront. It’s a remix to Maroon 5′s smash hit, “Phonephone,” but this one is mixed by Steve Mast of Plain White T’s fame. IanJ’s original EP drops later this summer, so I’m sure you’ll see that one up here when that event happens. This remix to Payphone has a calming effect and is definitely nice to listen to during this crazy stressful week. I have seen IanJ mature a lot within the last year or so, and I’m excited to watch his trajectory. He opened for Timeflies a few times during their Scotchd Up Tour in 2011, and has been growing a huge fan base throughout. Big things for this kid.

New IanJ just dropped. This kid kind of fell out of my radar for awhile, but this song is still pretty sick. The beat is a Delco beat, and I think it’s the best part of the whole song. For eighteen years old, though, IanJ really has talent.
I don’t have the time to really get in depth with this post since I need to get back to studying for my finals next week, but since IanJ just dropped his mixtape Happy Birthday, I figured I could take a quick break to post it for you guys. I’ve currently listened to the first few songs, and I really like what I hear. He goes in over some of the year’s best beats and he does the damn thing. Check it out below and you’ll know what I mean
Sidenote: Thoughts go out to the VA Tech community.

IanJ just dropped this about forty minutes ago, and I had to dip out of work early so I could come home and listen to it. It’s typical IanJ style and I’m continually impressed with what he puts out. Keep in mind that this kid is a senior in high school and he’s already making bigger moves than you or me. He is one of my favorite new artists of 2011, hands down. I’ve got mad respect for his ambition, talent, and hard work. This is the first joint off of his upcoming project, Happy Birthday, which drops at the end of November. So with that said, of course his new shit will be on ETM as soon as it surfaces. Check it out below and then don’t even think about hesitating hitting the download button.

I have a Management midterm on Thursday. Am I studying for right now? Fuck no. I’m the motherfucking boss already so I don’t give a frick. Well, IanJ dropped this new video for his single “Lead You On” off of his recent mixtape, Pop Culture. Check this out because the girls are fricking hot, and IanJ can definitely spit as you all should already know. And don’t forget to check out the older posts on him either.
I hope you all liked the video I posted earlier for IanJ’s song “Bang Bang.” This is the mixtape; I told you I would deliver. He dropped this earlier this afternoon, but as usual, I was in class pretending to be articulate and knowledgeable. I was probably more excited about this mixtape dropping than when Tyler, The Creator won Best New Artist at the VMA’s on Sunday. Ok maybe not as excited, but definitely a close second. This mixtape is all around great. I can already predict it being on repeat for me for a long time to come. Download this shit. Don’t even think about it. And if you missed the vid for “Bang Bang,” check that too.

I’m supposed to be reading my Introduction to Taxation textbook right now. It’s the third day of class and I already have a mountain load of homework, but I had to take a break because of the drop of this video.
IanJ is one of my favorite rappers right now. I first got hooked when I heard him back in February. There are a few times where he has chosen to rap over a top 40 hit, but since I don’t really listen to the radio, I don’t hear the actual song that much. And then when I do hear the actual song, I always like his version a lot better. This video is awesome too. It is for his first song off of his new mixtape, Pop Culture, which is set to drop at the end of August. The video, shot by John Bach Productions, is simple, yet great at the same time. The shots of him in a studio in Chicago make me just imagine what is in store for this up and comer. And don’t forget the FratMusic tee swag. Check out the video, and then go like him on Facebook.

If you liked P-Holla’s last song you will definitely love this one. It seems P-Holla has an affinity for popular yet different samples as this one has a sick Blink-182 sample and the last had that awesome Kanye one. IanJ comes along for the ride this time and it makes for a great, chill summer tune. Download link below.
